A 10-minute mini-play. Ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, India and China shared common winter solstice characteristics – ones that are still around today.

Metamorphosis is the magic butterflies can teach us. Although it can sometimes be difficult in our lives, change and transformation often lead to growth and renewal.

A unique spoken part at the beginning and end weaves “We Will Remember” in to a collage of different languages. This reflective SATB piece can be used for a remembrance concert or at any time of year to remember those who have been touched by the brutality of war.

Finding the message from difficult experiences and telling the story is difficult but can be empowering. These words and personal experience serve as an inspiration for writing “The Wind will Carry My Song”, a SATB choral composition.

This beautiful traditional song from Scotland is arrangement for SSAA and was written for St. Patrick’s High School Treble Concert Choir. The piece includes tone clusters, rich harmonies and clever counterpoint and opportunities for solo or small ensemble work.
