This melody is mostly known as “The Carrion Crow” and was first discovered about 300 years ago.
The change from carrion to kangaroo is a comical example of how traditional songs are handed down from singer to singer.
This upbeat piece in the Dorian mode will be a great addition to all mixed choirs.
