Buy music → ‘Christmas Song’ begins with a sombre mood and moves into a more uplifting sense of hope and renewal because “a little child is born.” A poem written by Canadian poet, Carmen Bliss uses beautiful imagery such as “singing bells”, “sunbeams on snow” and “the awakening heart” to celebrate the wonderful Christmas story.

Commissioned and premiered in 2016 by the British Columbia (BC) Boys Choir. Using the poem by GK Chesterton, Child of the Snows paints the picture of the darker side of the Christmas story. The 2-part voicing can be sung by either SA or TB voices.
